No Person is Ever Truly
Alon
e
by Richard Fife

No person is ever truly alone.

Those who live no more,
Whom we loved,

Echo still within our thoughts,

Our words, our hearts.
And what they did
And who they were

Becomes a part of all that we
are,

Forever.
Here rests in Honored Glory an American Soldier known but to God

Veterans Funeral Services
Chaplains are entrusted to encourage and provide assistance to others - not
necessarily by acting religious, but by helping those in need, keeping traditions
and by being a friend.

MILITARY HONORS for the Honorably Discharged Veteran are typically scheduled
by the funeral director.  The veteran’s military branch of service or veterans
organization will conduct honors at the funeral, graveside or memorial service.  The core
elements of a funeral honors ceremony, usually conducted are:  - Flag folding - Flag
presentation - Playing of Taps -
A 21 GUN SALUTE is sometimes provided at a veteran’s funeral or memorial service
when certain military conditions are met.

Grief
by Sandra K. Hester

I wish I had the words to comfort you,
In all your pain and grief.
But I know there is nothing I can say or
do,
to help you find relief.

Your numbness will soon subside,
and the pain and tears will be real.
Just remember no matter what,
It's ok to feel what you feel.

Each day may seem like a burden,
sometimes it will be hard to face.
But they will never stop loving you,
just because they're in a new and better
place

They will live on in your hearts,
you will all have memories to share.
And when your time on earth is through,
with open arms, they will be waiting for
you there.
